Fifth grader Kaiden Byrom represented Macon East as the class and district winner at the AISA State Spelling Bee. Kaiden was one of the last two spellers remaining in her grade category after many participants had been eliminated. Misspelling only one word for the day, Kaiden proudly finished as the runner-up in the State Spelling Bee.
