Macon East Academy’s Lower School students were excited to see the return of Field Day on May 6. This day of fun, sun, and friendly competition between classmates is much anticipated every year. The Blue and Red teams gave it their best in a variety of old-school athletic events from relay races to the water balloon toss. Coach Lott joined the festivities by grilling delicious hamburgers and hotdogs for everyone to enjoy at lunchtime. The afternoon brought the exciting final game and the always fun event between the teachers. The last event of the day determined that the Red team came out on top and will have bragging rights and the Field Day trophy until next year’s games. All the kids cooled off afterward with refreshing Kona Ice and sprinkler fun on the football field.
