Volleyball AISA AAA State Runner-Up
The Lady Knights, a veteran in the AISA state tournament, fought hard but lost to defending state champions, Glenwood Academy, in three sets. The Gators defeated the Lady Knights 25-12, 25-15, and 25-21 at the Cramton Bowl Multiplex. Maddie Ross and Sara Cochran were selected as members of the state all-tournament team, and Ross represented Macon East on the AISA East All-Star team at the Montgomery Multiplex. Coach Codi Berry will also be representing Macon East by coaching the All-Star team. The Lady Knights continue to boast a strong volleyball program among the AISA in volleyball.














Macon East senior, Hendley Culpepper, recently won the Bullock County Distinguished Young Women and a $1,000 scholarship. Distinguished Young Women of Alabama is part of a national scholarship program that promotes and rewards scholarship, leadership, and talent in young women. Hendley was also awarded additional scholarships for winning the fitness, self-expression, talent, scholastics, and interview categories. We congratulate Hendley on her accomplishments and look forward to her competing in the next level of the competition.

The Alabama Independent School Association recently hosted the Student Government Association Fall Workshop at Vaughn Forest Church in Montgomery on Monday, September 13, 2021. Macon East Academy SGA President, Luke Noffsinger, was elected District 6 Representative. Congratulations Luke on your continued leadership!
